Italian Courtyard Garden

Our client asked could we bring a little bit of Italy to Belfast, so we obliged. Using classic Italian design principles of symmetry in conjunction with the element of water, earthy colours and family we created this little Tuscan garden that gets used all year round. Made from locally quarried slabs of quartzite, the customised water feature babbles and glistens on the left hand side of the U shaped steps, while a clipped Olive tree stands guard on the opposite side. Terracotta clay paving adds a rustic Mediterranean charm whereas the foliage of the sword like Phormiums, clipped Box, Acanthus and scrambling grapes seal the Italian look.
