Our client’s property, a grade- 2 listed building, built circa 1830 didn’t meet the client’s requirement of style and function. The garden that was rebuilt by a renovating builder in 2002 made an uninspiring destination. Inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement and the dwelling itself, we created a modern cottage garden with clay pavers, sandstone flags, Corten steel water feature, Corten cube pedestals, Corten steel walls to act as planting foils, herbaceous planting in Irish sandstone gravel, espalier fruit trees from the Irish heritage society and a clear Perspex roof pergola.
