Scandi Inspired Garden

This stunning east Belfast home, where the majority of the ground floor has window walls, gave us the unique opportunity to create a single wrap around space that flowed from the inside out. The client’s tasteful, modern Scandi home interior, with orange soft furnishing accents combined with its natural outside features of a sedum roof, mature birch trees and cedar cladding gave inspiration for the design. We used three surfaces around the property: Dutch clay pavers to add a warm, earthy element; decorative gravel to soften the expanse and to help alleviate surface water; and frosty blue- honed limestone flags that are the same dimension as the tiles inside the house. Bespoke Corten steel planters echoed the orange accents of the soft furnishings with stained Siberian larch fencing timbers. With thin linear beds came thin linear plants to complete the look.
