Family Garden For Entertaining

Built in 2022, this garden is all about usable spaces and “rooms” sited for catching the sun at various points around the day and year. The client’s modern interior has now been transferred to outside. We’ve introduced large silver granite flags to create an uncluttered surface with black painted ribbed L-shaped planter with Box hedging to form a dining area. A bespoke metal water feature with inbuilt light is placed near the dining room window so it can be enjoyed inside as well as out. A grey composite deck with black painted slat’s enclose the area while the slatted overhang doubles up as a mounting for the heat lamp and the festoon lights. Areas where there was once unmanageable scrub are now planted out with drifts of understorey shrubs and herbaceous perennials.
